At first sight, Urmnt is composed of a black perforated sheet: a white PVC surface under the sheet is constantly triggered by a rotating propeller, connected to a motor. The propeller corrugates constantly the surface, producing a never-ending moiré effect.

A later version, Urmnt 70, dating from 1964, is in the collection of Museo del Novecento, Milan.
