Open Sourcing Art: new practices in interactive arts

Artists and designers (Brevet, Franchino, Frölich, Olivero, Weber) participating to the workshop Reprogrammed Art discuss their experiences in the framework of new open source technologies with Massimo Banzi, one of the founders of the platform Arduino. The debate is held in English, moderated by Serena Cangiano, coordinator of the project “Reprogrammed Art: an open manifesto”.

The last taboo of contemporary art: kinetic and programmed art

Massimiliano Gioni defined kinetic and programmed art “the last taboo of contemporary art”. Kinetic artworks have always been problematic for galleries, collectors, and museums. Two members of Gruppo T (Anceschi, Varisco) discuss with three art historians (Devecchi, Martini, Seratoni). The debate is in Italian, moderated by Davide Fornari, coordinator of the project “Reprogrammed Art: an open manifesto”.

Presentation of the five artworks prototypes developed during the workshop Re-programmed Art, with a selection of artworks from Museo Alessi (Crusinallo di Omegna, Italy) and Museo Cantonale d’Arte (Lugano, Switzerland).
